Instead of cutting a huge hole in my truck I trimmed the tabs off of the Ford box and just cut a hole with a 2" holesaw. I might have had to file the opening a little more so a slightly larger holesaw might be better. WebMar 16, 2024 · Get underneath the pickup and locate the wiring harness from the 7 pin at the rear bumper. Follow the wires back and you should be able to find the plugs that the OEM pig tail (pictured in Post #1) will plug into. The plug is mounted about 8" in front of the tail gate.
