Webb16 okt. 2024 · The ribbed stitches give the crocheted fabric a stretchy feel and allow it to adapt to a variety of sizes. Most ribbed crochet beanies are worked sideways. You make a flat rectangular panel and then sew it together at the ends to create a tube. It is then tied together at one end to make the top of the hat. WebbThe standard cast-off is perfect for a 1×1 rib stitch. Unlike other ribbings, you don’t need a special stretchy bind-off. 1×1 ribs are not super-elastic. There’s no need for a yarnover bind-off or a backloop bind-off, in my opinion. You should try to cast off the stitches quite a bit looser than regular, though.
